Craniosacral therapy can be very beneficial for those suffering from migraines, headaches, low back pain and stiffness, neck pain, sinus problems, TMJ disorder and ear problems.
During a Craniosacral session I will place my hands on different parts of your head and face as well as your feet and your sacrum or low back.
Wear comfortable clothing with no belts or bulky belt loops around your lower back.
Most sessions are completely face up, though some techniques can be done with the client resting face down as well.
I am also certified by the State of Washington to work intra-orally (inside the mouth) to access points around the jaw and tempromandibular joint (TMJ) to help relieve jaw pain.
Sessions generally last 60 minutes, tho can run longer. Allow an extra 15 minutes to give yourself time to relax and ease back into your day after this or any bodywork.
Tod is an undiscovered treasure; his gentle craniosacral touch was precisely what I needed. He held and followed the subtle tissue tensions as they responded and resolved with balanced progressive touch, waiting until the resolution lead him further toward midline body alignment. The session took me well into the progressive next step in the healing I'm doing, and it supports the work of my chiropractor. I will see Tod again next week.
